A few words about how I work
People often come to therapy expecting to be analysed, advised, or directed.
That isn’t how I work.
I take a quieter approach — one that focuses on creating the conditions where emotions can be noticed and felt, rather than managed or fixed.
When emotions are allowed to be experienced, even gently and slowly, change often happens on its own.
Why this approach
Many of us learned early on that some feelings were too much, too painful, or not welcome. Over time, those unfelt emotions don’t disappear — they remain in the background, shaping anxiety, mood, and a sense of being blocked.
My work is about restoring a safe inner environment where those feelings can come into awareness, without pressure or force.
I trust the body and emotional system to move toward balance when the conditions are right.
What sessions are like
Sessions are calm, attuned, and unforced.
I don’t interrupt your process or tell you what to do. I listen closely and help you stay with your experience in a way that feels manageable.
There is no expectation to perform, explain yourself clearly, or reach insights.
A little about me
I’m Catt.
I work experientially with emotion, and I believe we’re all born with a natural capacity to heal, grow, and move forward. When that capacity becomes blocked, it isn’t because something is wrong — it’s because something needed couldn’t be felt at the time.
My role is to help create the conditions where that natural movement can return.
About the book
I wrote Being with What You Feel as an extension of this work.
It isn’t a how-to guide. It’s an invitation to experience what it’s like to stay with emotion in a gentle, supported way.
Some people arrive through the book, others through sessions. Neither is required for the other.
A simple invitation
If something in this approach feels familiar or quietly resonant, you’re welcome to book a session.
